Tony Marszalek

Director/Principal Water Resources Engineer
B.E.(Civil)(Hons), M.Eng.Sc

With over 28 years’ experience in water resources management, Tony has worked on projects relating to water resources, mining and civil and environmental engineering.  His experience has included planning, design, cost estimation and construction supervision of dams, water supplies and hydraulic structures, water resource evaluation/feasibility planning, water and sediment control management design and planning, water quality and environmental studies, the design and operation of meteorological, hydrographic and water quality monitoring networks, computer modelling of ground and surface water resources/supplies and study of groundwater recharge systems.  He has participated in the production of several environmental impact statements (EIS)/environmental assessments (EA) and subsequent environmental hearings.

Tony’s experience also includes a number of projects throughout Australia, South-East Asia and The Pacific.

Lindsay Gilbert

Principal Water Resources Engineer
B.E.(Civil) M.Eng.Sc, MAppl

With some 30 years’ experience in Australia and South-East Asia Lindsay has worked in a range of civil engineering & environmental projects in water resources, mining, municipal and general civil engineering fields.  His experience has been gained in both the public and private sectors and includes extensive experience in water resource assessment, water supply, mining and mineral processing water and waste management design, planning of mine waste facilities, water quality and environmental studies.

Specialist expertise in hydrology, modelling, design and assessment of water management systems.  He has also appeared and given expert evidence in court.  He has also appeared before a number of environmental planning commissions and hearings and was appointed as a temporary (specialist) commissioner to the NSW Planning and Assessment Commission.

Dayjil Fincham

Senior Water Resources Engineer
B.E. (Env)

Dayjil has had some 8 years’ experience in a range of civil and environmental engineering projects in water resources and mining.  Her experience includes water resource management and assessment, water supply, water quality, development of water balance models for mine sites, and hydrologic and hydraulic modelling of natural and engineered systems.  She has expertise in hydrology, modelling, and design and assessment of water management systems.  She has participated in the production of several Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) and Environmental Assessments (EAs).  Recently, Dayjil has worked extensively with the Mineral’s Council of Australia’s Water Accounting Framework and its implementation to a number of mine sites across NSW and QLD.  She also has experience with the recently revised Climate Futures tool produced by CSIRO for the assessment of the effects of climate change on projects for development approval.

Ian Lenane

Senior Hydrological Modeller
B.Sc (Hons 1)

Ian Lenane is a mathematician/statistician with some 25 years’ experience in mathematical and numerical modelling. Over the past 6 years he has been involved in the development of GoldSim hydrological/water balance models and the application of statistical techniques to water resources and environmental requirements.  He also has experience in development of OPSIM water balance models and TUFLOW flood analysis models.

Hamish Watson

Engineering Technician

Hamish is currently studying Civil Engineering at QUT.  He has an interest in management of water and is proficient with Office and AutoCAD.  He provides an efficient and supportive role to the engineers in the office.  Hamish is due to graduate in 2018.
